Welcome to Wilbury Primary School’s Science area, where curiosity meets creativity! We are thrilled to share the incredible success of this year's Science Exhibition, held on Monday, 29th April 2024. The event was a testament to the dedication of our pupils across all year groups, from nursery to year 6.
This year Wilbury held their Science Week on week commencing 22nd April 2024. As part of this, we had the Wonder Dome (an immersive mobile planetarium) at our school.
On Friday 22nd March, children from across Children First Trust came together for our first joint computing activity – Astro PI: Mission Zero. Children were invited to take part in the European Astro Pi Challenge 2023/24 which offers them the chance to have their code run in space!
What has the School Parliament been up to?
Year 1 collectively celebrated Lunar New Year (- or Chinese New Year -) with a special assembly.
After lots of rehearsals some of our Year 3 children performed in the Dance Festival held at Millfield Theatre.
We are all so proud!
On Friday 9th February 2024 as part of the national Children's Mental Health Week our Y6 Pupil Leaders visited classes to discuss the important topic of online safety.
World religious day was on Sunday 21st January 2024.
In the Autumn term children in Years 1 to 6 were learning about 'Relationships' in PSHE.
On Friday 24th November the school had a visit from Open View Education Theatre company, who performed an Anti bullying show. for Y1-4.
On November 23rd we had a visitor, Charlie, speaking to us about online safety.
