It was an opportunity for the whole school to congregate on the field to commemorate the King’s ascension to the throne. All the children had been busy making crowns which they showed off in a resplendent parade around the field. It looked to be a rainy afternoon, but as soon as the children stepped outside the sun shone brightly and helped make the afternoon even more spectacular.

To welcome us onto the field children from Year 5 and 6 played the African drums to really get our party started! Mr. Roberts then led the school in several appropriately themed songs - including 'God save the King' - to mark the royal occasion, and to finish the afternoon we all had cupcake.

Mrs. Wise was so thrilled that she is already looking forward to our end of term celebration which parents and carers will be invited to too!
