To celebrate the festivities of the season I have made a video showing an excerpt of the second greatest Christmas story ever told. 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens was first published on December 19, 1843, with the first edition sold out by Christmas Eve. Here is our tribute to the great author and a reminder of how reading and stories are so valued at Wilbury.
Wishing you all a safe, healthy and joyous holiday.
Mr. Hegarty
Reception children had a lovely time visiting our amazing KS2 library! They read and chose non fiction books to link with their learning and then took them back to Yellow Class! They promised to return them, and will be back for more!
Our Harvest and Garden Day at Wilbury was both bountiful and brilliant! This owed a lot to the great support and generous donations from children, parents and staff. The Enfield Food Bank will benefit from such generosity.
At the end of their time at Wilbury Primary School it is important that we celebrate our pupils’ whole time here, their achievements and the friendships they have made. Our year 6 Graduation Assembly is a very special event where we celebrate in song, poem, and awards. Many parents attend and really value this final event for their children.
Parents/carers came into Rainbow class for a Story Cafe afternoon.
Our year 5 pupils entered the 'Wild City' competition with Salter's Institute and Edible Landscapes London.
We teach PSHE through Talk Time. Talk Time is a weekly session of discussion which allows your children to cultivate their ideas, philosophy and empathy in order to understand the world around them. It allows us to give the children the skills to think, look , listen, speak and concentrate. The children grow through the conversations we share.
