We teach PSHE through Talk Time. Talk Time is a weekly session of discussion which allows your children to cultivate their ideas, philosophy and empathy in order to understand the world around them. It allows us to give the children the skills to think, look , listen, speak and concentrate. The children grow through the conversations we share.
On Wednesday 4th May Wilbury held its Easter Science Project Exhibition. We showcased all the projects the children had worked hard on over the Easter break. Both parents and children had the opportunity to visit the exhibition and view the wonderful entries.
On 10th May, some of our year 4 and 5 pupils were lucky enough to watch Swan Lake performed at the Royal Opera House. It was a beautiful performance of the famous story. The ballet dancers were fantastic and it was such a great experience for the teachers as well as the pupils!
The whole school have made Tibetan Prayer flags!
On Monday 7th March, a group of our year 5 pupils were lucky enough to attend a broadcasting workshop at Sky Studios. We learned about camera work, script writing, editing, directing and much much more! Watch our very own news report on cruelty to animals.
The Year 1 children have a special message that they want to sing for the community at this festive time. We hope you all have a healthy and happy break and we look forward to seeing you in the new year.'

On Friday 24th September, Ms Schneider, Mrs Hassan and 9 ex-Wilbury students were invited to Hampton Court Palace for Peter Jones's Tycoon Enterprise Competition final. The 9 ex-students - Jingwen, Olivia, Miracle, Simeon, Angelica, Karina, Trevaun, Radwa and Aisha (only missing Shakithyan from the original team) - returned from their new secondary schools to re-form Tropical Events Inc. for this very special occasion.
In July, we celebrated the end of our Year 6's journey here at Wilbury with an outdoor graduation ceremony. The sun was shining, and it was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the children's time at our school, the relationships they made and their fantastic achievements. Well done Year 6 of 2020-21, we will miss you all and wish you every success for the future.
For World Book Day this year, Year 5 and 6 used the book 'Wisp' by Zana Fraillon. 'Wisp' is a powerful and uplifting story of a young refugee who discovers hope.
