At the end of their time at Wilbury Primary School it is important that we celebrate our pupils’ whole time here, their achievements and the friendships they have made. Our year 6 Graduation Assembly is a very special event where we celebrate in song, poem, and awards. Many parents attend and really value this final event for their children.
Year 6 children were excited to answer their historical enquiry, ‘How was Enfield affected by WWII?’ The WWII enquiries written by Eliza and Nicholas were judged as Commended by The Spirit of Normandy Young Historian Project judges! We are very proud of their well-crafted projects. Well done!
For the end of year celebration we highlighted our values - Respect, Resilience, Responsibility and Kindness - as our main theme. Lots of children dressed in clothes that reflected their cultural identity which represented the importance of diversity in our school.
Once again, the Wilbury Primary School Science Exhibition was an amazing event that brought excitement, curiosity, and creativity to the forefront. The exhibition showcased the incredible talents of pupils across the school, with entries ranging from nursery all the way up to year 6. It was truly heartwarming to see such a wide range of enthusiastic participants, each bringing their own unique ideas and interests to life through science.
As part of British Science Week, our students participated in an exciting virtual workshop, engaging in hands-on investigations that encouraged curiosity, problem-solving, and scientific thinking. Each year group tackled a unique challenge designed to inspire a love of learning and exploration.
Classes across the school loved joining the Great Big Live Assembly for Black History Month, where they were inspired by Black leaders from around the world.
As a school we took part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, to raise funds to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH.
The children in the image below all entered this year's Young Historian Project Competition.
There isn't a day that goes by that I am not aware of the magic that Wilbury creates - and this, again, was at it's peak during our Olympic Celebration.

On Tuesday 16th July we held the final School Parliament meeting for 2023-24. Each family group updated Mrs Wise with what actions they had taken this year.
