Autumn Term

We're Going on a Bear Hunt

After we finished our first core book of Autumn 2 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt', by Michael Rosen, we went on a real bear hunt! The children could recall all the various terrains and locations we learnt about, whilst reciting the text beautifully:
Through the long, wavy grass. Swishy, swashy! Swishy, swashy!
Through the deep, cold river. Splash, splosh! Splash, splosh!
Through the thick, oozy mud. Squelch, squerch! Squelch, squerch!
Through the big, dark forest. Stumble, trip! Stumble trip! 
Through the swirling, whirling snow-storm. Hoo, wooo! Hooo, woo!
Then we found the bear in their gloomy, narrow cave! 

Digging for Treasure

Twos Digging for Treasure in the mud kitchen. The children were very excited to find some hidden treasure. 

Exploring Conkers

The children have had lots of seasonal fun learning about and exploring ways to use conkers. 
They rolled them down drainpipes and had races, made beautiful paintings and used them to make various creations in the sensory tray.
